's like we're on tv. i take you tonight to indianapolis. they've had recent trouble with race relations after a controversial arrest back in may was made of a biracial teenager who suffered severe facial cuts and bruises in his arrest. one officer had been recommended for firing. protests for more firings have been held. let the court system work it out. if they're dirt bags, fire them. but one pastor in indianapolis had his own idea about how to deal with the tension. he came up with one of the worst ideas i think i've seen. that includes the segway. pastor james harrington of mount vernon missionary baptist church. he hatched a brilliant plan to put the indianapolis police department to the test. they invited a 17-year veteran of the force, sergeant matthew grimes to speak at the july 24 event hosted at the municipal gardens, a parks department facility in the city. sergeant grimes has done hundred of these sort of public appearances, community relations sergeant. that's what he does. pastor harrington and the park manager willard gutton planned have an altercation break out between t

-old amateur motorcycle racer was killed yesterday in a crash in indianapolis. he had been a rising star in the racing world. this video shows him riding a bike at 125 miles an hour. today race organizers said they will not launch a formal investigation into his death, but they will review their safety procedures. motorcycle racing is not the only dangerous sport. a new study says there's been a sharp increase in concussions among young athletes playing other sports such as football and soccer. over a ten-year period, emergency-room visits for concussions among middle-school aged children nearly doubled. medical correspondent dr. jennifer ashton has more about this. jennifer, good evening. >> reporter: good evening, harry. some of this dramatic increase is due to the growing awareness of the dangers of concussions, but experts say many cases still go unreported. >> go, go. >> reporter: like so many competitive young athletes, 17-year-old zoe loveman loves to play hard. >> i went out for a header with another player. and as i was coming down she was still sort of making her up to the ball

. a 13-year-old motorcycle racer killed in a crash at the indianapolis motor speedway. his name was peter lengths. here is a picture. he reportedly fell off his bike during a warm-up lap for a race yesterday. another motorcycle racer hit him. we have video of peter on his bike from his web site. he is the youngest rider ever killed at the speedway. a spokesman for the united states grand prix racer's association says the teens who race know what they are doing. >> we have been racing at almost every single track in the country. big tracks, small tracks. you name it these kids have proven time and time again that their skills, their training, their background and everything have proven that these guys are more than ready for a track like this. >> shepard: well, the union reports it will review its safety rules but will not conduct a formal investigation into the death of 13-year-old peter lentz she claims the purse was not hers. the arrest report says it was. she is paris hilton and back with johnny law. talk about trouble, the entire east coast keeping an eye on hurricane you recall. -- e
